eRepublik Halloweek

Hello, eRepublikans!

Vampires, werewolves, and other night loving creatures surfaced in eRepublik last weekend, threatening to throw one huge Halloween party.

For the safety of our citizens, we summoned the most powerful weapon to match their dark forces. Called the “Batzooka”, it’s sort of like a Bazooka from the underworld, a slimy weapon that fires rotten pumpkins. Just like the normal Bazooka, it kills enemies with one hit, but in a slightly slower and more painful fashion since the stench needs some time to kick in. Obviously we don’t recommend playing with the Batzooka in closed environments like bars, offices, or your grandmother’s house.

For our citizens who are trapped at home with ghosts, witches or evil midgets, our team has prepared a new set of missions that should make the time pass easier and forget about the horrible creatures lurking in the house. Short of having a direct line to the ghostbusters HQ, we reckon that this week the safest place to be is the erepublik battlefield, as long as those werewolves don’t get an internet connection. However, fighting for your life (and country) is well worth the risk as there are plenty of life replenishing energy bars among the rewards given to those who complete our missions.

If you care for the safety and fun of the loved ones don’t hesitate to invite them to join the fun in eRepublik.

Don’t forget your daily dose of garlic!

2nd International eRepublik Meeting – The fun was unleashed!

The first international eRepublik meeting was held in Budapest. Some of you might have participated and had fun along with the eRepublik players that came from all around Europe to meet each other. Now it was Romania’s turn to host this great event. The meeting was held in Timisoara, one of the best cities in the country.

From our perspective the meeting was a real success. The players had fun, they drank and sang together celebrating the eRepublikan community from all around the world. Here are some of the impressions the players had regarding the event:

“- to ALL of you who attended the Bucharest and/or Timisoara meetings. It was an absolute pleasure and honor seeing all of you! All reasons I may find for logging in every day and playing this game fade in front of YOU, the community, the people who have shown to be so much more than just pixels. I hope you all enjoyed the little time we spent together, I for one can’t wait for the next meeting in Greece.

Words are stupid and poor so I’ll just stop. I am exhausted but I would do everything all over again without giving it a second thought.

Looking forward to meeting all of you again and seeing new faces too!

Yours always,

Sunny von Sunsetter”

[2nd eRepublik Int’l Meeting] All I can do

“This is a game full of PEOPLE. We have no REAL enemies, we can all be friends and party together for long long time.

We can enjoy ourselves even if we fight in opposite sides.

Don’t let the real life issues to get in to you.

We are all much much better than this, we are all educated young people and we can change the world.

After all, this is the NEW WORLD!

This is what I gained from this trip

FRIENDS and KNOWLEDGE”

[2nd International Meeting] The Greeks

“To sum it up, the trip was full of awesomeness. I feel privileged that people took us to their lives and homes with open arms. People in Romania are very sweet and kind. The hospitality was something I never could’ve imagined. We owe you guys so much!

I also want to thank everyone who came to the meetings! Thank you people who came from abroad, as we did. Special thanks to Greece who made sure we don’t have to host anything official in Finland. It was nice to see every single one of you and I’m sure our paths will cross again one day.. ”

[2nd Int. eRep meet] Finns in Romania

“I know I have a great time, I met so many new people and you can feel free to add me on facebook. Unfortunately 3 days is too short time to know everyone from meeting and I’m sure I didn’t even meet all players from this pictures because there were too many people and too short time.

I hope next meeting who’ll be in Greece we could be all at same hotel or hostel to hang around all day and night

I meeting should last at least a week, especially because next will be at the seaside \o/

I hope we’ll meet again next year in Greece \o/”

dSoKre – Timisoara was conquered by dSoKre in the war versus Romania – 5 days ago

The 2nd international eRepublik meeting was a wonderful event that reunited many players from the New World along with some of the eRepublik team members. Through this post, we’d like to congratulate the eRepublik players who made this meeting possible and to thank you all for being there with us. Thank you alpho and Sunsetter for organizing such an extraordinary gathering and for the wonderful moments we spent there!

Hopefully we will be all gathered under the same banner in Greece next year!

Regards,

The eRepublik Team

Breaking News: eRepublik.com facing a real TAKEOVER!

Back in the days of the eRepublik Beta, a small organized group of players moved to South Africa in a daring attempt to break the rules and have some fun. This is the short version of the first takeover that ever happened in eRepublik. The entire eWorld was in shock seeing that a small, motivated and well organized group could pull such a stunt. The implications of that deed are very visible today, as takeovers are mainstream maneuvers at all levels.

Hated by many and enjoyed by few, the takeover practice was tolerated by eRepublik and it quickly became an important part of the gameplay.
As no good deed goes unpunished, a small group of veteran eRepublik players managed to slowly infiltrate the team, gaining Plato’s confidence. And now guess what? There are enough of us for a takeover!

As you and us both know, winning the election is the easy part. The hard part is what you do with your new found power. For now we are bringing back a much requested homepage feature. It is a small step for the eRepublik community but a leap forward in terms of approach.

Bottom line, top 5 news will be back on the front page! Makes you wonder what will happen next… illegitimate donations? Impeachment?

eKosovo is… ?

Update:

The poll date has been set to eRepublik Day 1422 (around 12Th. of October) for a 2 days period. After all the votes are counted we will make a public statement with the official result.
You will be able to access the poll from the eRepublik home page so make sure you don’t miss it!

______

As you already know, together with eAlbania we will add eKosovo as a new territory in eRepublik.

After analyzing the international status of this region we realized that there is no right or wrong decision. Any resolution from our side, in this case, will be quite arbitrary.

As a result, our conclusion is the following: since we all are in a game in which you can rewrite the history, the eRepublik citizens should decide on this topic, by participating in a poll. The poll will be available in the next couple of days and the eRepublik community will be the one to decide the status of eKosovo in eRepublik.

As for the launching schedule, we will be able to share with you more information once the voting process will be over.

These being said, stay tuned to find out when the voting will start!

Albania and Kosovo in eRepublik

As you travel across the eRepublik map, you can find in Southern Europe one grey spot in the Balkan peninsula (see the eRepublik Map). In real life you can find there the Albanian and Kosovo territories. As the eAlbanian community in eRepublik is growing larger and larger it’s time for the eAlbanians to get a country to settle.

So in the following period of time we will analyze what regions will form eAlbania, what resources will be found in the new added regions and what’s the status of eKosovo.

We welcome any suggestion and we kindly ask you to post them here.

The first international eRepublik meeting will be held in Budapest

After hundreds of national meetings in so many countries around the world, during the last three years, some eRepublik players decided to take it up a notch and go international.

Between the 19th and 21st of August, more than one hundred players from various countries will gather in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, in order to honor the event with their presence.

The local hosts proposed a program intended to suit any requests and demands that might come from the attendees. Nothing is compulsory; the players can choose a program of their own. Still, the pub meeting on the 19th is a must!

The eRepublik citizens all over the world are aiming again to match the nick with the real face, and how can this be better succeeded if not in a real life situation. Even though players are opponents in the game, they can become friends by sitting together at the same table, enjoying each other’s company with a pint of beer in their right hand. The meeting is intended to unite the national communities and to reach a global, more wholesome eRepublik community.

AThompson, former president of eHungary and one of the organizers, considers the meeting an unique opportunity to get to know such a great number of eRepublik players from all around the world.

On the other hand, avec, former Supreme Commander of EDEN, will also be in Budapest. He is using this occasion not only to meet hundreds of eRepublik players but also to visit the Hungarian capital.

Futhermore, if you want to meet in person a lot of influential players like: Alex Craciun (the guy who started the first eRepublik World War), Crista22 (the eternal Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs), Strozer (one of the ONE’s founders), cerber (former Polish President), vingaer (also an important member in EDEN and then ONE), Bogdan Adamutz, Blackpanther76 (two of the strongest warriors in eRepublik) and many others.

Finally, Plato will be there too. Well, not exactly in person, as he is not that young anymore, he sends the_mihai (former Romanian President) to represent the eRepublik team.

For more details about the meeting, accommodation or the program, you can contact in eRepublik one of the organizers: srnica or sekica18 on behalf of Serbia, alpho on behalf of Romania, Kita Skowronski or AThompson on behalf of Hungary and Wieloryb or Manedhel on behalf of Poland. Also, you can visit the event page hosted on Facebook or the article published in eRepublik.

See you there everyone!
